I Remembered My Resolve

I remembered my resolve

it's buried deep within.
I remembered my resolve
although definitions can still be binding.

The past merged with the present
and stoked the eventual future.
I run because I can and
I run because I can't.

My steps were so familiar
yet their echo was slightly new.
So I quieted the buzzing
despite it's curious abundance.

And once I did...
My resolve remembered me.
